About the Professional Development Day Co-Chair

Beth Almes, Development Dimensions International


  • In charge of planning PRSA Pittsburgh’s annual Professional Development Day including event logistics, themes and speakers
  • Partner with Sponsorship chair to obtain event sponsorships and fulfill agreements
  • Partner with Communication chair to promote event to our members and community partners
  • Partner with Web Content Manager and Programming chairs to set up event registration on website

Goals for 2017:

  • Plan an evening that will cover interesting and relevant topics that answer the questions of practicing professionals who are looking to advance their skills in the profession
  • Connect more than 100 professionals in the marketing and communications field with the goal to create valuable and long-lasting relationships
  • Plan sessions that appeal to all members of the communication field including students, young professionals, mid-level professionals and senior practitioners
  • Encourage all members of the marketing, communication and design field to attend including professionals who work in public relations, marketing, advertising, graphic design, journalism, and freelance
