Communications Specialist, Western Pennsylvania Conservancy

Western Pennsylvania Conservancy is seeking a highly motivated, creative and experienced professional who is a skilled writer with a background in communications, journalism or marketing.

Responsibilities include writing and editing press releases, magazines, social media content, newsletters, advertisements and website posts and information. The successful candidate will also lead and manage the social media and advertising (print and digital) accounts for the Conservancy and Fallingwater. Candidates must have at least five years of expertise in professional writing and prior experience managing and writing social media content.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in journalism, journalism and communications, communications marketing or equivalent experience. Candidates must have good project management and interpersonal skills, and be highly organized, results-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Additional skills and prior experience using WordPress, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign and creating video content are preferred. Having a background, knowledge and/or interest in conservation and preservation is a plus.
