Research released by the reporting forum Stop AAPI Hate recently revealed nearly 3,800 anti-Asian hate incidents were reported over the course of roughly a year during the COVID-19 pandemic. These hateful incidents have catalyzed calls for action to combat racism and stand in solidarity with the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities.
Learn the role of communicators in helping to #StopAAPIHate from a panel of local AAPI professionals and activists at the virtual event, “Being an Actionable Communicator for the AAPI Communities.”
The panelists will also speak on the importance of diversifying teams, eliminating biases to avoid advertising that harms and providing guidance on how to be an ally for the AAPI communities.
