About the President

Brian Ackermann, VP Social and Influencer Strategy, Ruder Finn
Brian Ackermann is the current president of PRSA Pittsburgh, leading our 15+ volunteers working to elevate the Pittsburgh communications community through educational events, public service projects, and mentoring the next generation of PR professionals.
Brian works as a Vice President of Social and Influencer strategy at Ruder Finn, partnering with healthcare clients to solve problems and make content understandable and engaging across social channels, drawing on his background in patient advocacy, paid and organic campaigns, and influencer efforts. With nearly a decade of experience in healthcare communications, Brian brings experience across paid and organic content strategy and execution, influencer program management, and client experience for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device brands spanning rare disease, oncology, and cardiovascular disease.
Outside of work, he enjoys working out, trying new recipes, and exploring Pittsburgh’s food scene.
